Village claim w/o village idol

Postby northwestern_trade » Thu Jul 30, 2020 10:13 am

Hi all,

I have recently found an abandoned village and would like to put my claim on it. There's still a bunch of banners all around preventing me to do that, however, the village idol is nowhere to be seen (I checked in mines beneath too).
There's also one banner standing just next to a palisade, which is impossible to be destroyed by hand (char doesn't start destroying because of a pali hitbox).

Is it not a bug that Village Idol is no more required to sustain a village? I wonder how it's intended tbh.

Thanks

1. Village can expand below, but not above, so if the Village Idol still exists, it must be at the surface.

2. If Palisade is genuinely blocking bashing of other object other than preventing access to other side of it, that sounds like a bug and you should provide screenshot. (send it to lead dev as PM if you're worried about someone recognizing the place and making yourself a target.)

3. Banners remain after Village Idol is destroyed, but the village should stop having an active claim.

Banners without idol are still a village (even though they are not). This mechanics sucks ass. Loftar should out to Jorb's sanity and fix it. Until then, suffer destroying banners just to rebuild them.
