Horses getting loose from hitching posts

Postby valeriesusanne » Tue Jan 26, 2021 5:19 am

I'm still having trouble with my horses coming un-tethered from the hitching posts. I've tried moving the posts, putting them farther apart and making sure they aren't too close to any structures, lining the horses up just right...
Just about every time I log in, one or both of my horses has come loose from its hitching post. What am I doing wrong?

try to keep your hitching post closer to the center of minimap square to exclude situations where your horse and your post are located in different minimaps.

If the horses manage to walk into another map grid they get unhitched. Idk why, happened to me a lot. Probably need to fence in or move your posts.
Waiting for something to happen? Everything is going to be okay.

When tethering a (tame) horse to a hitching post, it might walk some distance away.

To block it from doing that. Drop something on either side of the hitching posts.

It would probably be nicer if hitched tame horses should not wonder off ... so far.
