Cruel Incision disappeared?

I had a Cruel Incision of around 20 damage on my character, from getting mauled by a bear, along with some other long term injuries such as multiple Severe Maulings and Something Broken, however I noticed today I no longer have it and I can't remember how I possibly could've treated it. I looked up the treatments (Gauze, Stitch Patch, Rootfill) and none of those are things I've ever crafted. I have gotten an Ancient Root exactly once and I gave it to my neighbor. I do, however, usually leave leeches on me to deal with various other wounds but I don't think it's likely they'd treat Cruel Incisions.

I can't really complain, cause it's only convenient, but I would like to know why or if it might be some kind of bug.

They all heal as long as you're at "green" energy, even if the description doesn't mention it.
Applying treatment will make it faster though.

why hasn't Something Broken or Severe Mauling healed at all? I've had them for weeks.

To disagree with the person above: Different wounds heal at different rates, some don't heal at all without treatment. Broken and Mauling definitely don't heal, I thought cruel incision didn't either but could be wrong.

Best explanation I can come up with: OP got additional beating that turned "Cruel Incision" to "Nasty Laceration" which heals without any treatment, just quite slowly.

I did get a couple nasty lacerations but iirc they didn't take any points off of Cruel Incision, they were just additional wounds. Maybe when I treated them it healed Cruel Incision too? idk.

I did get a couple nasty lacerations but iirc they didn't take any points off of Cruel Incision, they were just additional wounds. Maybe when I treated them it healed Cruel Incision too? idk.

They don't take points away, they have a random chance of merging into something worse as you get more, both in size and quantity. Treatments for wounds lower the chance of merging depending on type of treatment and quality. (Also to mention: higher quality treatments heal faster.)

I never directly treated the Cruel Incision as I didn't have the resources to do so.

I'm sure a couple worlds ago I've got a non-self-healing wound which later, after a fight with another animal, turned into something presumably worse but self-healing. Though I can't remember exact names of those wounds.

Cruel incisions iirc heal at a VERY slow rate without treatment, the other wounds you mentioned do not
