How to make animals fight each other?

Postby Thatguyintheback100 » Thu Apr 08, 2021 1:47 pm

During the last full moon I was told of a hunting strategy of taking a pack of wolves and luring them up and down water ways so they would rip through anything in their path. Before hearing that the only in fighting i had heard of was Foxes vs Badgers. Is there any truth to this strategy? Does it work with any animal? If so can i make like two boars fight each other?

I've seen beaver fighting with fox too.
Last world seen lots of dead reindeer up the mountains, but maybe those were killed by players.

the easiest one is fox and badger, but badgers also attack beavers...

What i specifically want to know is if i lure an animal to combat that's already in combat with me, will they start in fighting? I'm gonna try it with badgers since we already know they pick fights

Ok so this might not be 100% correct but here is what I know.
Foxes will attack Beavers.
Badgers will attack Foxes.
Wolves will attack Goats, Sheep, Cows, Deer, and Reindeer.
As of now this is all of the inter-animal fights I know of, not including small animals like rabbits that is.

I can say that if you're standing to close to an aggressive animal, they can randomly switch targets. Not sure how frequently they'll do so. Been a while since I've had to kite a boar or bigger out of my living space so they didn't wreck the place.

I've seen Foxes attack (and get killed by) Wood Grouse Cocks.

My theory about the Wolf/Cave Lice infighting is that they block each other chasing you and there's some hacky fix to make them aggro targets that block them (to prevent bodyblocking with alts.)

I tried that with a boar and an auroch, i quickly boated up and down a river to try to get them to trip over each other and it didnt work, maybe you need a whole pack of wolves or lice to get it to trigger
