Cattail gave discovery lp again after the update?

I was picking some cattail after the crucible update, my inventory was full so my findings went to wicker picker directly, the weird thing is I saw a discovery lp popup when I picked cattail but all three of the cattail products had been discovered before already, it makes me wonder what happened, did the update cause this?

Likely related to the fact that cat tails can be stockpiled now
