cant start game

when I click the play button at the top of the browser, it says do I want to open or save the .jar file, I've tried both and nothing is happening. Ive been browsing to forum to try to figure this out, I tried switching browsers, even using internet explorer lol. then downloading the 64bit java version? not sure what else to try, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What do you mean? Do you just... not get a downloaded file, even though you choose to save it?

I do get a download file, "autohaven-myusername" its a JAR file.. but when I click it to open it just asks if I want to open or save it again, both do nothing =\

Do you have Java installed?

That file needs to be opened with Java. Your computer might not know what program to use if you don't have Java. Sometimes it tries to unzip the file which is definitely not gonna run the game.

Yes I have java installed. When I try to open the file it just opens internet explorer, with another pop-up asking what I want to do with the file, open or save?

Ok you got Java that's good. I guess your computer doesn't know that .jar files are associated with Java.

Right click the file and if you see "open with..." or "run with..." try that and see if Java is on the list

If that doesn't work you can change file associations in the control panel. See this 3 minute video of someone doing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXb_GQz1cA4

Thanks! I have the file associated with java now but it still won't open >.> it acts like its trying to open something but still nothing happens x.x I've never had so much trouble trying to play a game before!!! and I really want to try this one xD lolol again any help is much appreciated!

thx a lot! it sounds like the exact same issue, when I try to launch I see the window pop up for a brief second and dissapear.

So I cant find a crash log anywhere when even just searching the folder for "err" or "log"

when I tried the run command I received this error: Error: Unable to access jarfile autohaven-lhharrison89.jar

That probably means you didn't navigate to the directory where you put the autohaven file.
