How long does it take for a goat to produce mohair?

According to the wiki it should produce at least 1 every 8 hours but I'm sure I've had this goat here for longer and there's no option to shear.

1 per 2 irl days is my experience so far. They produce at about half the rate of sheep.

Well shit, now I'm regretting getting goats instead of sheep but don't want to get rid of them after going through the trouble of getting them.

I suppose that is an option, though I feel like I'll end up with too many animals. I'll consider it.
