Who should do specific tasks?

Postby Barbamaus » Thu Apr 22, 2021 2:37 pm

Hello. I'm trying to make a list of tasks that can be done by anyone in a village, regardless of their skills. I started by looking at the wiki, but I have the feeling it might not be up to date on some stuff, so I'd rather double check with people who are playing right now.

Tar kilns: loading, lighting them up, unloading; to my understanding can be done by anyone, even if they don't have any skills at all.
Same thing for dealing with hides and making leather, correct?

Farming: farming ability matters on planting only, right? but when harvesting skills like Druidic Rite matters. Am I right to think anyone with Druidic Rite (even if they only have 1 farming) can harvest without destroying the quality?

Smelting: do skills and abilities apply when smelting, or only when mining the ore? Can anyone load up the mined ore in a smelter and light them without affecting the quality?

Building: quality is only made by the materials, so who knows the recipe can help.

Butchering: survival matters for the whole process, from skinning to picking the bones, right? So anyone with a survival lower than the animal is gonna fuck it up?

What else?

Tar Kilns: no skill necessary
Hides/leather: no skill necessary
Farming: Quality determined upon planting not harvesting but the seeds generated are upon harvesting
Smelting: Skills/abilities apply when mined
Building: Correct
Butchering: survival and the quality of the sharp tool used matter for skinning/butchering. Bones will always be quality of the animal
