How do you repair a loom, and mining support?

I seem to have a problem figuring out how to repair structures like looms, and mining support. I'm currently trying to right click the loom with cattail fibers, and mining support with a block of wood.

I also can't seem to inspect mining support to try and figure out it's health. Is it supposed to be like that?
