ball clay gave red brick in acre clay oven

hi - has anyone else had this problem that the colour of the brick didn't correspond to the colour of clay? i dug up some ball clay because i like yellow brick and wanted to make yellow ovens but the bricks i got from my acre clay kiln were red does the colour of kiln determine the brick colour???

Ball clay gives red bricks, acre clay gives yellow bricks. There is no real reason for this, Jorb just wanted more variable materials for brick stuff but wanted red brick to be the more common default one so the colors between ball and acre bricks were swapped.

To make matters even more confusing, acre clay still makes red garden pots and ball clay makes yellowish-brownish garden pots.
