Found me a troll!!

I finished Cave Hermit and went looking for a troll - found one! Ok, so "Trolls no longer attack you." Well, he still scares the **** out of me !!
He KO'd my horse - luckily I wasn't on it - and now he's just wandering around. He's on L3 and appears to be a "normal" guy.

So... can I be SURE he won't attack me? Like if I keep mining around him? Obviously I'm not going to engage him, and won't bring any horses around.
What if I build a pali around him - will he attack through a pali? Or can I charge admission to safely look at him? (troll zoo )
Also, what if I mine out another one? Will they attack each other? Or will I have two pet trolls lumping around?

Also, I have a technical question:
What is the procedure for posting a screenshot on the forum (in case I want to show off my new pet )
I'm somewhat computer illiterate, and I just can't figure it out. BTW, I use the default client.

supposedly a palisade troll would only cause cave-in if you're not Cave Hermit, BUT I wouldn't test the theory, since trolls are famously unpredictable

Hmm, yeah - he might aggro on a non cave hermit. I guess I was wondering if trolls worked like other animals, in that you can't interact with them through a palisade (assuming you haven't already engaged them.)
Several years/worlds ago, I used to like hunting through my palisade (safe!) but you can't do that anymore. Since trolls are unpredictable, guess I'll just enjoy his company and not push his buttons
