how to protect public well?

Postby algam » Thu Feb 17, 2022 8:55 pm

How can I make a well free to anybody , protected as much as possible from vandals?

I was thinking:
- on village claim inside a field cairn that allows everybody trespassing and theft
- surrounded by palisade (later brickwall)
- with a permanently open visitor gate

Would this arrangement make it accessible to people outside village?
Would there be another way to destroy it except destroing first the palisade/brickwall ?

You need to focus on making sure that nobody can't reach the well without walking through a Visitor gate(s) and that walls and said gate(s) are covered by the claim.

Pclaim with the right settings inside a Vgate palisade is an early option, but can still be Vbombed eventually. Making a dummy village + cairns/overall access settings is the later version.
