can't find chives?

Hey guys. My friend I play with can't find chives anywhere. He's looked at the wiki biomes and has been searching ones with chives but just cant find any. Are there any fine print things we should know about? Like are they seasonal, etc? Thanks.

Usually the only area you can really find them in is the super dark forest biomes around somber bramble. They are pretty easy to find in those areas, like nearly as common as blueberries.

Yeah some biomes are regional; I'd probably have to travel a long time to get somewhere where I could pick Kvann, but I live near sombre bramble so I eat Chives as filler.

Last world there were no chives on my entire continent. They ONLY grow on sombrebramble.

Thanks guys, I'll have my friend use the world map to find sombe bramble. There was another wiki biomes page I cant refined but it claimed they grew on others, which is apparently BS.

I'm fairly sure it also grows on other terrains, just only in certain regions of the world. If you come across a Swirling Vortex you can hop into it (only if you're alone, and only if your dugout/rowboat is fully repaired!) to teleport to a usually distant location. (Your dugout/rowboat will take some damage in this process, so always repair after entering a vortex.)
