Edge of the world question.

Do buildings close to the world's edge get deleted automatically?
If so, then how far from the world's edge is it "safe" to put claim at?

It's not possible to build anything within a certain amount of tiles to the edge. I tried this last world. Also when attempting to walk past the edge you will be stopped and something about dragons will pop up on the screen. I can't remember the exact phrasing

In my experience it is possible, but anything built survives like 1-2 hours.
You didn't count actual range, did you?

I did not count the range. I do recall a message saying you can't build too close to the edge of the map though. Similar to the water one. I want to say it was something like half view distance?

Guess i'll just build long fence out from the edge, and see at what point it will get cut.
