"You have already collected this."

What's this about? I collected 3 Brimstone from a geyser that contained 5 and walked away after the third to keep the other 2 'fresh' (as they don't decay while still in the geyser). At some later point, I came back to harvest the remaining two, but I instead got the message "You have already collected this." and it refused to collect the rest. I sent an alt to collect it instead and it could take the Brimstone just fine.

Is this new to world 14? Do we need to spawn an alt whenever we want to re-harvest a localized resource now?

Seems as though you can't gather the same one more than once every so many hours.

I can now confirm you can collect again after some time expires; I just harvested some more brimstone from the same geyser on my main.

You could just put 2 alt , but it's a step in the right direction I think.

How is it a step in the right direction when it's easily solved by making another alt, and it requires doing so even when you do it on your main? If it makes people who usually use their main to collect localized resources instead use alts to collect them, that seems like a step in the wrong direction.

getting a similar issue, but slightly different. We have a cooking alt who just sits in base to cook, and about 5 grid tiles away there is a salt basin. He just tried to harvest it, never harvested any natural resource before and is getting the message that he has already collected this, where our other characters including other alts can harvest it perfectly fine, just not the guy that has the cooking levels. He has never touched the salt basin before, but it refuses to let him harvest.

If that's the case, it's either a bug or: anyone in the vicinity of a resource during the gathering may get a cooldown, regardless of who picked the resource.
