Snake Juice struggle

I've purchased first-aid and I've discovered adder fangs, clay jars, wild honey, and saltwater yet the crafting recipe for Snake Juice isn't appearing, is there anything obvious I haven't done?

Usually the problem is that you think you've discovered honey but haven't because wild bee honey is weird. Are you sure you've discovered honey? You have to bucket it out of a domestic hive, or be the one who loots the honeycomb out of the wild hive. Bucketing out of the honeycomb doesn't count.

snake juice is bugged with wild honey. i've tried every possible way to discover it. i've heard putting the honey in a barrel and taking it out with a bucket can help, but it could just be a lost cause and you need to use a different sweetener ingredient

It seems that only way to discover "Wild Honey" is to raid a wild beehive and loot an "Odd Honeycomb" with wild honey inside it. I just raided one and unlocked honey recipes on my fighter, and my Bough Pyre alts also have sweetener recipes despite not using them to drain the honeycombs.
