Where and how best to fish

Postby Kahned » Mon Sep 05, 2022 11:05 pm

So i have a creado to catch Burbot fish, but I was wondering is there any site like this one for food https://food.hearthlands.net but for fish? Somewhere where I can see how and where to catch them, maybe some tool to scan nodes of them or smh? Thank you for answers, have a good day.

Oh well, thank you but this is not helping me at all xD
I just saw burbot with 1% chance to catch and then no more of it, only other fishes.
Do you know how much will*sur i need to have 3 fishes shown on primitive rod?

I don't know exactly how much Will * Survival is needed.
If you got the Burbot at 1%, try to move a bit, or change the line/lure to match the 100% at 1st icon.

You can always use the 1st fishing pole (bushcraft one), and dump tons of Earthworms/Entrails at good spot for Burbot (Lake/River depths)

The most important part of fishing is the node you are fishing in. It doesn't matter what rod you use: If your node doesn't contain the fish you are looking for, you won't get it. You will want to test every body of water with jumping fish nearby and make note of what's available on your map. Your neighbors might be able to point you to a good node, but the wiki/forum/discord cannot do that for you.

Bait fishing with a bushcraft pole will then catch different fish in that node randomly. Lure fishing with a primitive casting rod will allow you to "target" a specific fish in that node. The success rate of catching the targeted fish depends on the combination of lure, line, and hook.

I personally exclusively bait fish once I've got access to a rowboat, wheel barrel to carry my bait (usually chum or entrails), and my local area mapped out.

Thank you for posting. It's wonderful to see that in today's digital world, staying connected and up to date still matters. One of the easiest ways to get there is to read articles like this, but as an adult, it can be challenging to find the time and concentration to read. Therefore, I'm overjoyed to have found this one. basketbros
