Can't launch this game

Despite the best of my abilities, I am unable to launch the game. Installed both Java 8 and this Hafen on a freshly wiped computer (it wiped when I put in new storage whoo). I had this same issue a few worlds ago where the game just stopped working and it caused me to stop playing. It doesn't even get to attempt to install before it crashes and sends a crash report.

I've attempted any fixes I found and was competent enough to figure out myself, as I am not great with computers/technology in general and nothing has yet to fix it.

Help, I'd like to get back into the game as it's been a couple of years.

For Kami, you chose "option 3:" "Download the complete package, extract it into a folder of your choice, run the updater or start-hafen-with-jdk.bat, profit."

Then you ran start-hafen-with-jdk.bat? Still gave you an error?
Firewall isn't blocking, and you ran it as admin?

Yes, it allowed me to load into the character creation, and I was able to choose a gender although most of the hair options wouldn't load/work. I couldn't create a name or go into actual gameplay as the area where the wizard (it's been a while I believe it is a wizard tho) and the fire you burn in is just a large black rectangle. I cannot click to walk into it and stand in the area, but I can walk through it. When I do, it gives the black loading screen as it does when you load up the game or walk into a house/cave. Clicking to the other side while I can see ground lets me walk through it, and when I am walking through it if I manage to click loaded ground (without being able to see) I walk back out and it is still a rectangle.

I'm not sure if it crashes after a certain time of launching the game, or if it is after I begin making a character. I will have to test this when I have time.

I decided not to wait, I timed the crash and it is 2.5 minutes regardless of if I move to create a character or stand in the starting pool. I have also attached the screenshots of the afore mentioned unloaded area.

Clear the cache from the previous attempt, delete ur game files and try fresh install. Win r -> %appdata% -> roaming -> hnh


After fresh install post if u have errors
