How Can I actually Play on Windows 11?

Hi,

So first off, I would like to say that H&H was just recommended to me today, and landing on this website, I was surprised, the aesthetic is very old internet style, warm and welcoming looking, and just cute.

From video and pictures I have seen of the game, the game looks the same too, which is awesome, and I hope that never changes, and this style and design remains.

That said, even though I have an account, and have downloaded the game, I have not be able to play yet.

When I click "play" it downloads a JRE, but I am running Windows 11, and so it asks me what to open it with, I then downloaded Java JRE and told it to use that, but it does nothing. So I am wondering, can anyone help me actually get the game started?

What should I do?

Java installation issues are very common for new players (it's not a windows 11 problem, it's just that Java installation can be difficult), and Kami Client is the only client that comes packaged with Java and seems to help most new players with java installation issues actually start playing.

Also, if you are a genuine new player, would you consider reading my new player guide and providing some feedback (private message is fine) on what it included that helped you, or did not include that you felt like you needed to know? It's available here: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=76168

My hope is that it can help you, and I can learn from your experience how to better help other new players as well, for the future.

I managed to get it running with the official client.

I saw a vide on youtube of "how to get java for mine craft" and I tried what it said, it was basically just to download the JDK 21, and then run a jar fix program, that routes everything for you.

After that, the original jar file started up, downloaded more, and then loaded the game client.

So now I will read through Robben's guide, before playing.
