Loftar will you allow trading hats/tokens on the steam market?

Not something I've really considered, and as a Steam noob, I'm not exactly sure what it means. Please explain why it would be meaningful to you.

Steam has an in-built aftermarket for stuff like hats/tokens where steam and the game owner gets a % of each trade between players, which would be big profit in times like W10 where hats were often being traded for a couple dozen dollars daily, and hundreds of dollars semi-frequently. I kindof assumed that aftermarket $$ was a big part of why you guys were after steam, tbh.

Sure, but what I was wondering what the value was to you, not to me.

Nah, from my point of view, Steam is almost exclusively an accessibility (and, secondarily, visibility) feature.

Value adds to the consumer:
1) a history of exchange prices/recommended price so they get scammed less
2) don't need to find somebody with the specific hat you want that wants to sell it, it's just there in a perma list
3) don't have to worry about getting scammed where you paypal the money and they just don't show up
4) don't have to physically meet up for the exchange
5) don't have to make timezones work when talking to/meeting up with the guy
6) impulse purchasing (90% of micro transactions) of old hats will actually be an option
7) it would be a method for people from shithole countries to use in-game means to purchase verification (farm in game>buy hat/token>sell hat/token for steamwallet>buy verification)
8) the hat sellers from shithole countries trying to pay their rent with haven hats only sell like one hat per week while spamming all day, and would prolly be happy for that process to be automated & more active even if they have to pay a cut to you/steam

The ease of purchase on the steam market place vs. PMing some guy in a shady invite only discord and hoping is night and day. I really think you should go after that % cut of every aftermarket transaction, it's one of the rare instances where the developer getting more money has a wholly positive impact on the players

I wish I lived in a country poor enough for selling hats to be worth it
