How do I even play the game?

I registered and was excited to play. I unzipped the file that started downloading when pressing the big "Play" button.
I have a folder now full of .class files... Now what?
The game looks amazing and I'm excited about trying to play it. I bet this game would have a growth 1000000x growth if the process to just play the game was made simpler.
I've never had to do these sort of steps before with any mmo before, both old and new. I STRONGLY suggest making a launcher.exe file or something that idiot proofs it for lazy idiots like me.
I can't help but think "Every dev knows they have on average of 15 seconds to hook a player. This process is requiring alot more than register and play, so why would I bother going through that if the devs don't want to bother to streamline the most important part of an mmo (getting new players)?"

EDIT: I also tried looking through the websites FAQ and found no mention of this :S

You dont need to extract the jar file but execute it while having java installed

Game will be released on steam november 1 so it will solve the things you said

Good to know. I was sure I had java installed.
I'll wait until it launches on Steam.
The game looks gorgeous and have neat aspects to it, so I'm sure there will be a surge of new players once the Steam release is out.

What I had to do was put the file in a folder and then make a .bat file containing:

java -jar launcher-hafen.jar

Running the .bat then starts the game for me.
Hope this helps if you do want to check out the game before it releases on Steam.

Pretty much this. Java doesn't get installed by default on computers anymore and iirc we run off JRE21?

If you go into the Wizards tower there are 3rd party clients. Enders client installer is pretty simple. Put the downloaded file into a new folder and click on it. All needed files will be dumped into that location based on your computer specs.

Steam should theoretically automatically download the appropriate Java files. At least that's the devs goal
