This is a very good quick and concise video guide for first time players! I'm going to add a link to it from my newb guide.

Not a bad vid but I started zoning out halfway through. The process is way too complex for noobies, just doing it once takes forever, imagine someone trying to spawn 3 or 4 friends on their first playthrough, they'll quit and uninstall the game after 30 minutes

Yeah, watching and understanding a 2 minute video is too difficult for modern gamers.

It's take 5 minutes(7 if you watching video before). I even spenе time(5 minutes) and tested it by myself. I can only add, that you must spend you first boards for bucket, coz stamina can be a huge issue, if ppl don't know how it works.
Spawn ppl at hs can create more problems that you think.

Consider followup videos on how to get the first bit of LP for vital skills for newbies and what they should do.

Also, might not be obvious for newbies that to catch a squirrel, they'll probably need to sprint XD

Thanks! I’m hoping the inclusion of the squirrel caches will help alleviate the sprinting confusion, but I’m also going to release a follow-up video soon!

It will cover basic controls and UI use, which should help provide newbies with a surface-level understanding of LP and how to run/sprint. It’ll be dressed up as a “new player walkthrough” going over the introductory quests since no one in their right mind would click on a UI tutorial.

From there, I plan to make videos on pclaim creation and pali building. After that, I’ll get into in-depth topics like character growth (LP/attributes/etc)

Am hoping to at least have videos all the way up to pali creation released before Steam launch. Thanks again for all feedback!

Squirrels can usually be caught with just the 3rd speed (running) but animals seem to have at least slight variation in their speed - some squirrels indeed being fast enough that you need 4th speed.

One tip is to "box them in" using cliff or a river - stop well before hitting the obstacle yourself, wait a bit for the squirrel being forced to turn around, then click it again.
