other than obvious things you can't get Underground like a farm

is it possible to get perception and Constitution and strength and intelligence Underground based foods

Maybe hard as a fresh alt, but it's easy with enough preparation. You can fish underground, get bats and rats in level 1, once you get deeper you unlock anglers.
Now some activities will be very restricted or impossible without going outside to fetch some things like sand for molds.

First two stats covered by cave fish. Str and int is anglers.

Might want to check out this Thread though it seems to be more about things you cant find underground. You could always bring some set amount of “seed” materials or come up to the surface every once in a while for wax, boughs, string? Sand for the pyres maybe? Also IIRC trees only begin spawning on depth level 3 or something, the wither bushes on depth 1 give blocks but no bark or boards

Theres plenty of ways to progress underground. I think you can get every stat pretty well and ofc lots of curios, minerals

There used to be a good (but short) time period where you could build greenhouses underground. I think they should reimplement that nowadays since greenhouses in their current form are pretty much useless and allowing underground farming would be a neat but niche use for them. Maybe add some sort of cave vegetation which imitates the sunlight required by aboveground vegetation and you would need to have one planted inside the greenhouse to be able to grow aboveground things there.
