Palissade with PC and TC

Postby oleanna1 » Sat Nov 23, 2024 11:23 am

Hi,

Yesterday we has been raided by Ozzy,
We had a palissade all around the Personnal Claim and a Townclaim 5-6 further to avoid splash dmg.

There were no siege weapon involved, how was he able to break the wall ?

Need more information, can't figure out much with what you have provided. Could have been that it was entered through normal gates because a key was obtained or villager was attacked and allowed someone inside, or maybe you had a wall that was not yet fully soaked and capable of being bashed which allowed access somewhere. Or they entered through a visitor gate and were able to get off the claim somewhere inside and drop visitor because the area inside the walls may not have been fully covered by village claim. Perhaps an "inside man" joined your village, plenty of players are known to take that route too. There are several reasons something like that can occur.

Is this other thread related? https://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=76929
I was kind of wondering why ozzy of all people is posting something like that after not caring for however many years. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if he and others like him use the discord channel as a hunting grounds, could be you were first targeted through discord. The group that runs it is well known for doing that sort of thing and hanging on to all types of information.

We are two in the TC , my Friend came back after lunch break ( 30') base was open in the corner ( palissade ), everything valuable destroyed or stolen in his PC. And a runestone signes "Ozzy was here".
It s the game. I m just wondering how ... He didn't use visitor gate ( I told him to use them, but he dont want to be stuck outside if already tag PvP)

He had multiple layer of palissade but door was open ( except external layer ).

So once the external pali was destroyed, base was a fridge.

Maybe external wall wasnt soaked ( he build an extension sonner, but I dont know when )

Oh okay lol, doubt it was actually Ozzy then probably just someone throwing the blame on him.

Yes it sounds like the cause may have possibly been from extending the palisade. Any new extensions still have to spend 3 real days to gain full soak, however, it's my understanding that destroying a new extension is not supposed to cascade the damage into a wall that is already fully soaked so I'm still a bit confused as to how the walls were being built to allow this to occur but that seems like a plausible reason. If none of the inner gates were visitor AND they were left open, that just makes it much easier of course.

This is not true, only one day if bordering an already dried segment.

For the op, post pictures and tell us when you started and completed the palisade.

Thanks you both, it s ok now. The problem was the soak Time. An enemy just checked all wall, or saw the extension. Break it by hand, and once in the town, no visitor gate/ door open transform a little problem into a total destruction.

Extension should be considered like outside area during soaktime :)

Thanks you for your help

I know that you probably have 2 digit IQ but do you think I would really leave runestones like that and it wasn't someone just trying to impersonate me? God, you spruce caps are becoming more and more stupid throughout the years fr

Your answer is pointless in a "how do I" topic.

Hey to be fair at least they mentioned that the information came from a runestone, I was the one just going along with it before asking. Knowing that the individual or group is leaving runestones to put the blame on you or other well-known players helps to determine who might be the culprit as it sounds like something Snail would do.
