How do I get back into my base after death?

I died in my base, in my house, in my bed from a snake bite and now I can't get back in.

For some odd reason you can't destroy your own walls, so I went the wrecking ball route. Well, some scumbag stole it.
I neglected to make an alt account to get me back in. (In most games alts result in bans)

Is there any way to get back into my base?

so. just to be sure, you made your hearthfire outside your walls for some reason, and your body and the keys are inside?
if so, wrecking ball is your only way in.

you dont neccesarily need an alt. if you only have visitor gate entrances, you can just hang the key on a wall, and have your hearthfire inside(alt is still more secure.)

but having your fire outside your own pali, is stupid, not only because you can lock yourself out, but because, you might hf back and run intoo trouble checking out your plot.

When you inherit you spawn in your previous character hf unless you used a code for beacon

if you truly inherited, you would have inherited you hearthfire aswell, unless some fringe case where its blocked wich shouldnt be possible
see if you can still inherit that character when making a new one. if so, you didnt correctly inherit

I did do the inherit option but I used a spawn code to spawn near my base. I didn't know that you get your old spawn point back too when inheriting. So I totally screwed myself

Yeah that's not really your fault, the game should be clearer about how inheriting works or at least offer a warning of some sort if you inherit and then go to enter a secret. The inherit stone will be gone now and should the character die again, they will inherit their current hearthfire where ever that is outside your walls. Not sure what else you can do about it at this point except keep trying to break in.

If any of your walls were built recently (within the last 1-3 days) you MIGHT be able to hand bash them still. One other option If you still had the claim bond from the body would be to remove the claim with that and allow the walls to start decaying but that may take as long or longer than waiting for a wrecking ball. Although then you'd also be without a claim, but I guess you would have had a key if you had the body anyways assuming you were carrying it. Unfortunately you died in your walls! It's quite an unlucky case.

Another option, by having claim rights and claim stepping outside your walls, move claim pole outside by rebuilding it outside, extend area and build another palisade module to the base and settle there for a while, then bash it from within inside.

Oh good point, I didn't even think about rebuilding the claim stake. If the cornerposts are unsealed they could extend off of those to create a bubble with a gate in order to protect the claim stake if they move it and/or a wrecking ball to break in.
