Pacifistic nidbanes?

Postby CunningGodOfDeath » Wed Dec 04, 2024 6:09 am

There's a guy that was robbing people in my area. He lives in a little palisade and sleeps in a bed outside. So me and a couple friends decided to be quirky and throw out a few vandal nidbanes at him.

My understanding is that once they reach him, they give him 24 hours to log on before attacking and killing him. Well, in a stroke of luck, he didn't log in the next day. So the nidbanes traveled over and reached him sleeping in his bed. Then in an even bigger stroke of luck, he didn't log in the NEXT day.

However, i come home from work after the 24 hour mark and all the nidbane fetters are shattered. He still hasn't logged in. How did he survive the attack without logging in? He lives alone and had nobody to attack them in his stead, which would be ridiculous anyways because attacking nidbanes currently looming over their target simply makes them attack their target prematurely. So he'd have all the nidbanes attacking his unconscious body. Why not log in and at least reduce openings? Instead, he just continued sleeping and the nidbanes all vanished without harming him.

What gives? Were my nidbanes going for the pacifist route?
Is she here, or here?!

Are you sure he lives alone? Are you sure that he didn't get KOed? Are you sure that was him in the bed?

Like 100% for all those

Anyone can kill a nidbane, not just the criminal. Probably had a friend kill it for him. There's a reason why nidbanes are considered quite useless at the moment. They were weaponized hardcore by a faction in W10 I think it was, and got hit with so many nerfs they're now worthless.

Other alternative is he died before the nidbane got to him I guess.

I can’t remember how many years ago it was, but I was targeted by it. However, if I didn’t log in, the Nidbanes eventually disappeared on their own.

It's been updated to just instantly kill you after a certain amount of time, alledgely. Haven't tested it though.
