There's a guy that was robbing people in my area. He lives in a little palisade and sleeps in a bed outside. So me and a couple friends decided to be quirky and throw out a few vandal nidbanes at him.
My understanding is that once they reach him, they give him 24 hours to log on before attacking and killing him. Well, in a stroke of luck, he didn't log in the next day. So the nidbanes traveled over and reached him sleeping in his bed. Then in an even bigger stroke of luck, he didn't log in the NEXT day.
However, i come home from work after the 24 hour mark and all the nidbane fetters are shattered. He still hasn't logged in. How did he survive the attack without logging in? He lives alone and had nobody to attack them in his stead, which would be ridiculous anyways because attacking nidbanes currently looming over their target simply makes them attack their target prematurely. So he'd have all the nidbanes attacking his unconscious body. Why not log in and at least reduce openings? Instead, he just continued sleeping and the nidbanes all vanished without harming him.
What gives? Were my nidbanes going for the pacifist route?
