dove eat my toolbelt [Solved]

Postby Nubee » Tue Jan 28, 2025 5:39 am

Earlier, I was excited to have raised a homing pigeon and started testing what it could carry back home. However, after I put a tool belt into it, the belt got stuck and I can't get it out. What should I do?

Sounds like you ran into a genuine bug - toolbelt with items inside can't be held in inventory (this is to prevent using them as extra inventory space) but when you select to recover an item from a pigeon, the server attempts to place it in your inventory. From a regular container, belt can be grabbed into the cursor and placed into the equipment screen.

Only potential work-around I can think of is to try using "recover item" while not wearing a belt, and hoping it's placed directly there, but this sounds like wishful thinking. Please try it anyway and report the result.

I got it out. I opened a wooden box, and then I was able to take the item off the dove.
