also bucket doesn't work...
how do I get rid of this garbage salt?

Clicking take on salt barrel should put 0.5 kg salt from your barrel to your inventory, you can empty it this way, or ctrl+shirt+rclick on barrel should attempt to take all salt from this barrel.
