stone axe for mining?

apparently now stone axe is not the meta for mining
and its left for logs to branches production and probably other things.

what is the stone axe good now for?

Was killed by tinkers axe a while back as they get easier to make higher ql.

Depening on that maybe pickaxe might be useful for its purpose beyond an exploration tool.

No, it was just stone axe was easier to get higher ql for better softcap. Then Tinkerers axe came and was both eaiser to make higher ql and has a higher mining strength multi. So the stone axe just died after you start spiralling

If pick axe gets a quality bonus it might be better but math to compare to tinkerers.

Its really simple highest ql was more important than mine strength to get best ore/stones. Stone axe was just easier to spiral for a fair amount of time plus dungeon wood.
