About the only solution, then, is that when a ranger with a murder scent in their inventory that was left by their target instead leaves a 'Redolence of Revenge' and is not as restricted, whether they can hearth or do not remain logged in is a matter of much more debate.

Violence begets more violence, so the only possible deterrent to the endless cycle would be forgiveness. On the internet. Cue uncontrollable laughter. Instead, a respect for revenge along with different mechanics could deter further action. Cue more uncontrollable laughter.

get out of here ya libtards, the whole appeal of this game is that it is survival of the fittest

brodgar is simply a small fish in a big pond, they tried swimming with the sharks and it didnt work out for them

by announcing "protection" they basically let any PvPers out there know that brodgar is the place to go for a guaranteed fight - you commit an act of aggression at brodgar, you can expect a response right?

can understand why robin wants to close this thread now :P

Because of the self-righteous gloating?

I haven't been following this thread, but from what rye said I thought all new brodgar needed was to change its leadership in order to get a peace ageement. I kinda liked the thought, it's just like real world politics.

a lot of people have done so. some other people cant and quit.
being a ranger or fighting against crimes does not necessary mean killing criminals for some revenge, though, in case you didnt get it.

MightySheep wrote:get out of here ya libtards, the whole appeal of this game is that it is survival of the fittest

the question is, what you want to mean by "the fittest". i will never find someone who just wanders in someones gate without any permission (and get killed) to be in any way fit.

cant say robben's post are sweet enough to smile at, but he is just another larper rather than a douche. i read this thread as it was important for him to take his role to do this in public, instead of normal "gathering allies behind the scene". either way, it was very enjoyable and meaningful for me to see how some of you reacted at this thread.

Reason why I wanted to close this thread is because it clearly isn't discussing the original topic: the peace treaty.
I really could care less about the gloating from Ainran, if they didn't have this thread to post videos of killing spruce cap newbs I'm sure they would make their own.

Although I appreciate all these fish in shark tank analogies from the peanut gallery, New Brodgar is absolutely fine:

If I understand Ainran words (rye), they'd leave NB alone if there wasn't for the current leader...

What did he do exactly?
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

If the citizens of New Brodgar want me to leave for any reason, I will gladly, unequivocally, and unconditionally leave.

But if you, sir, think for a second that Ainran really cares who the leads the city halfway across the world that has never attacked anyone, I would question your sense.

Ainran played this card before.
they ended saying that the leader stepping down was not enffe.

Then they happen to kill someone else from the village and said "if you wanna be peaceful you should not leave your village" or some shit.
after some stupid ass negation Ainran said they would leave the town alone if the town let em raid the leaders plot.

the leader had the keys to ever gate and then bam town was raided by Ainran.

Ainran is raiders, they love forum drama, you are all feeding Ainran fear campaign.
Good job.
So stop being idiots.
