Most games, when the number of players is small, they band together. But not in this game. People will stab you for the tiniest reasons. Even I don't think I trust passing by strangers anymore.

It kind of used to be that way at least in world 1.

The game not being maintained for a long long time eventually led to all the veterans leaving. Left were some kids that enjoy permadeath MOBAs with a hint of cheap trolling.

In the new world many old players and factions are back, but apparently the Moot is so far only used for cheap kills on new players.* None of the killing threads being posted seems to have people who would stand a chance against a legitimate group (judging by how underdeveloped they look after a month into the new world, maybe I am wrong). I am curios wether some kind of policing faction will arise this world to at least locally maintain peace. We sure as hell won't be doing it cause a) we are old and suck and b) I just want the few hours I can play to be about hanging with my buddies and maintain my farm.

People not banding together might also stem from there not being anything to band together against. Nature is not very scary so far, at least not after a few days of playing and having basic gear and a palisade up.

*I personally consider all of them offtopic spam, but I guess it would cuase too much of an uproar to move them all to Hel. There should maybe be a bragging subforum and one for legitimate political action.

I think we need better roads before actual politics will happen. As it stands, the things worth fighting/negotiating for on a "political" scale are nodes and "slaves"/client villages/trading partners, and if you can't get to them you may as well forget them.

And I would vote for moving sprucecap kills to hel, but meh.

I remember when I first started a few weeks back. Completely new to the game, no clue what a claim was. I wondered around a bit till I stopped seeing hearth fires and settled near a cave I found. Set up some drying racks and got lucky chasing down a few rabbits. while they were drying I saw 2 people come by. I said hello and was friendly but they didn't say a word. they just went thru all of my crates and took everything remotely useful including the rabbit fur that wasn't even dried yet then moved on. while I stood there stunned. then I understood. 99% of people playing are selfish sociopathic assholes who wouldn't piss on u if you were on fire to put you out. Live and learn, the end.

Yes please, a lot of people seem to enjoy the "look at all these people I killed" threads, but they don't really fit into The Moot as they are more about bragging than actual conflict. Would love to see a subforum for that kind of thing. With that said, I still think the dead should be able to post to The Moot proper (The Moot doesn't have to deal exclusively with things that have geopolitical significance, but the bragging threads don't really fit).

I would love to read this guys reaction to someone raiding his village after he has put a LOT of time into it. He'd be soooo pissed he'd want to kill not just every human, but every ant that ever walked the earth ;)

They most probably just break in to see if there is anything valuable worth taking as you never really know until you crack the egg open, even if they don't need what you have after they have gone through the effort of breaking down your walls they will still take whatever is most valuable even if its junk... and most probably drop all of your other stuff onto the ground, and then probably turn up a couple of hours later when you are logged in licking your wounds stab you and steal your bunny slippers, it might sound far fetched but this is the norm for haven :P

Popular? Who is that guy?

Excuse my ignorance but judging by the screenshots he fits right in with all those people in nettle gear killing people with lower quality nettle gear. Never heard that name before.

( I am assuming Frost = Spawningmink? Both names seem unfamiliar, so if I am wrong forget I asked)

He's the guy that Emerald oathed in
with some others to help protect the
city, but instead he went around and
stole all her things, killed all her cows
n shit, broke things... basically he's
some trash on the side of the road. He
lives near spawn and preys on noobies.

Hey hey hey, that's not true I went and defended em city. I didn't kill cows and I didn't destroy anything, get your facts straight you maggot
