Me, not really. As I said we are not involved nor do we want to be. I just find it weird that your people are now even mocking the persons they killed today. But carry on then, I did not want to give you the impression like I was here with a personal agenda. I am not sure I took anything out of context though as I am the person with first hand informations from the actual victims in all of this.

I do agree the IP could use some more diversity but it is supposed to make Jorbs and Loftars life easier. Most of the people that might have proper advice usually disqualify themselves pretty quickly when you just read their constant forum shitposting...

Those two are not mutually exclusive.

A person can be a great troll and have great advice. The trick is knowing where to eat, and where to shit.

Take Bob Dole, great troll, no doubt about it. That should not distract on having valid input on things relating to combat.

The point of the IP is to not have any troll behavior in it whatsoever, but meaningful discussions instead. So yeah people like that don't really fit in there unless they could prove they are clearly able to distinguish between their personas. Which would be a hard thing to do...

I have a question for Brodgarians, as a neutral observer. What proportion of residents are military, and what (if anything) do non-military residents contribute to the war effort? It would be interesting to hear from some of the less warlike players living there about how life is. Sometimes the result of protracted war is the separation of society into a warrior class and peasants.

Feel free to settle here and participate, i hope that you put some effort in improving New Brodgar life and find answers to your questions

In my opinion it depends on what you define as "wrong."

I get irritated by people claiming to be what they're not. Especially when a group is claiming to be a white knight. If anything it holds that group to a higher standard (again, purely my opinion).

I agree we should be held to a far higher standard.
We expect that of ourselves and live it every day.
Did we make a mistake here?

I could see why a bunch of people being misinformed out of context or those with political motivations (RedKGB, Burgi) would think so.

Correct me if I'm wrong (been skimming the flood of posts). Ainran raided you guys while a new player was trying to join. New player got killed in friendly fire.

I think your group would have been better off just saying it was a mistake and not try to explain/justify it (sounds almost half hearted). In my eyes, it looked even worse as some people in your group have gone have further disparage the new players your group mistakingly killed.

As for the higher standard, no offense but your members have posted some offensive things in other threads (again I my opinion). I'd like to believe not all of your villagers are like that, but at least he vocal ones certainly are.

Alleged New Player shows up unannounced on naked alt while naked alts are attacking. Doesn't explain his presence until after he's knocked out. His story didn't add up and he didn't identify himself after the fact. Items in his possession indicated his story was false. His naked/fresh alt was killed.

As far as forum posting, I don't think we ever said we wouldn't talk shit.

You should have at least informed your villagers, swapped some hearth secrets, etc, (I'm assuming you communicate in some way with everyone in the town), so that when a naked alt rocks up at your town, especially with your town getting attacked so regularly as it would seem, that your villagers can tell who the legit person is from the attackers, and at least, for someone to inform a new person joining if there are issues outside town walls so they are careful.

I'm not suggesting your actions of being attacked and feeling a need to retaliate are wrong and accidents happen, but at least admit it was a mistake, put some better procedures when recruiting new people for next time, and leave it at that.

I'm not suggesting your actions of being attacked and feeling a need to retaliate are wrong and accidents happen, but at least admit it was a mistake, put some better procedures when recruiting new people for next time, and leave it at that.

As an aside, I would consider "shit talking" against the higher standard you ascribe to, but again that is my opinion.

tbf, I started a new alt, by the time I got to the town I joined, my char was relatively decent, because of the discoveries, and food I had on the way. but anyway. point being, don't allow stupid things to be over blown because you cant just say it was a mistake, and move on. even if you're not a clairvoyant.

he was unrelated to Ainran. Robben asked me about an old villager of mine joining Brodgar, and then I spoke to said villager about his move, and suddenly he's killed on his way over.
