Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I failed to see where I was lieing? Trying to have a conversation with someone whose only response to you is "Do you want to be Bob Dole's friend" leaves little room for a open discussion. I understand that being attacked by fresh spawns that can do great damage to your characters with their non ability to attack you is very scary and probably causes great concern, however as a person from outside the situation looking in and wanting to be part of a community the hiring of mercenaries to protect said community never works out for anyone. Mercs do not care for the betterment of the community itself they just want to get paid or to spill blood and then brag about how glorious their destruction of the enemy (fresh spawns) was via forum posts. This is evident by the fact that about 5 mins after I was killed there was a forum post about Rage alts, just for some clarification none of the items you see in that picture were mine.. I had a inventory full of whatever I could collect on the way as I intended to save that alt as a combat alt to help the village.

Here are my thoughts on New Brodgar for what they are worth.. As a new player or someone looking to join a village with a new character this may not be the best spot to venture to while this skirmish is going on. If you are a established player and looking to move here, be very careful because while it seems that they are only removing fresh alts from the area you might be killed by the opposing faction while traveling in the area. In regards to Robben, from our brief conversation he seems to be a decent person and I do not believe that he has any ill will towards new players. As for the players "defending" the city, having a conversation with them is going to be difficult in my personal experience, as it doesn't appear communication is their forte. Just a tip "old balls" a better response to my statement of "I am here to meet up with someone to oath our mains over" would be something of the along the lines of "who would that be" or maybe "who have you spoken with" or maybe even "ok just a moment while I verify this information" Being friends with Bob Dole doesn't seem to work as proper verification of spies.

P.S. The title of this post should be "War against Narnia at newbie village"

Seriously, this thread .... I range between laughing, cringing and feeling sorry for the actual Brodgar villagers, as someone else said, pages back I'd like to hear how the actual villagers feel about all this nonsense, if you actually even have any true brodgarians left, lol.

When Robben first got a small army together and went after and killed overtyped it was a good feeling, noobs sticking up for themselves, yay! I sent him a pm congratulating him on ridding the hearthlands of a newb killer. I think more or less the whole community were behind him at the time, but, since then so much has changed. Burg is correct when he said the feeling amongst the community has changed, it has.

No matter who is lying or who is telling the truth Brodgar is no longer the happy-go-lucky place that newbs and vets go to to have fun and help each other out, it has been totally and utterly ruined by the new direction it has taken, it is tainted. It's leader appears to be always on the defensive and doesn't listen, it's warriors kill everyone and ask questions later and it's now defended by newb killers and raiders! .. No offence intended, but, Lol, how can you not see the double standards in that!

Combined you have taken the meaning of 'Brodgar' and what it has always represented and dragged it through the mud, I would get off your high horse if I were you 'Brodgar' and take a bit of time to think about how you actually come across rather than how you think you come across.

Sad ... it's really quite sad.

They do not have a proper diversity either. This is how it worked back in W3, according to Koya. IP folk will agree to support each other's ideas, so when someone would post something everyone would be like 'yeah yeah yeah'.

Not how it works currently, more often that not we disagree with each other

A lot of people have joined EC over the last 2 worlds. It sometimes take a little jogging of the memory to remember specific people, especially when it was some time ago. generally the only one who tend to stick out are any who were an issue.

And coles was a terrible spy, he tried that shit in EC too:D

Coles is a great spy

Coles just decided it'd be better to let that dude die outside of your crossroad instead of helping him because he called me mean names :'(
Also, in the time my alt was in your village I got 200 base in all stats off of your food and then got away with the new alt, so there's that

Koya man haunting us from beyond the sekrit club grave. I have been at odds with pretty much everyone in there over time. But they tend to agree with me in the end. Because I'm always right everyone knows this. Well except Potjeh. But I am sure I will win him over with my charm and people skills and then the hive mind will be complete.
If it weren't for the fact that talk would move on the other side of the forums for any brain fart that passes the sekrit club (not the actual name) I'd ask for it to be made view only. But like I said it will defeat its purpose of feedback from focused experience players without noise from players that have played 2 weeks and think they know how the game works. Feedback that jorb ignores anyway at his whim.

Okay, show of hands, how many of you actually read these giant walls of text?

This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

Average post is like 8 lines?
If that's too much for you then I'm sure you could find some decent reading in the children's section of your local library that might be more your speed

2 paragraph is hardly a wall of text considering there is a space break in between the information. I'd much prefer this than 20 post of "fag" "noob" "butthurt" "bagouser" bouncing around like ping pong balls.

@Amanda. If we are taking the moral part of the change out, I would not say tainted or such but Brodgar has definitely become more belligerent. Whether this form of Brodgar is successful at defending newbies hasn't hit the ground yet but consensus (from different sources, mind you) says no and it doesn't change the fact that it is still dangerous for newbies to be near Brodgar as they may run the risk of being attacked due to the conflict. Ironically, their aggressive stance ends up inadvertently makes their purpose further from completion, if what Robben says is true about his goal.

In regards to the Inner Party, we are not completely one-minded about issues unless it is unanimously obvious (in which case, you can't argue that it's an Inner Party thing). Here is little gem of world 5.
