from my understanding it was just another newbie, with absolute trash gear. It was pretty much a sprucecap kill, except he had some hand-me-down soldier sword.

Dole and pals laid a trap for ainran at the cr right next to their base, however when server went down for the patch, amber was outdated and couldnt be used.
Somebody ported in to our trap, without us even knowing, because there is no alarm on the standard client.
three of 5 of our guys were unable to even attack him, because they were getting 1fps with all the clutter turned on. Dole and Karl were the only ones able to really fight, so we continued pursuit of the guy, and he ran into his town. We ran in after him, going balls deep into their town, two more aggroed us. After a short skirmish, Dole took a tactical retreat while Beautiful karl held them. Tragically Majestic Karl breathed his last as Bob Dole teleported away, safe and sound.
It was essentially a 3v1, because karl only had 20 uac and 1 mc. Dole however had the devils luck.

Since Ainran&company are trying to depict NB as blood-thirsty monsters bent on killing, I would like to voice a personal opinion in these regards.
I have visited NB before all this crap had started happening, and can confirm that it is a peaceful settlement (not that crowded with people though), and at this place I've been able to finally strike the deal I've been traveling a long time for. I have also personally met Leafstab on other deal, and I got out in one piece, safe and wielding the item I craved for. Sailing this shitstorm, and comparing it to my personal experience, I am starting to believe that Ainran&R'Lyeh are trying to play fog&mirrors game (never met members of these villages in person, mind you).
