Thats true to a certain extent, keeping someone prisoner like that shouldnt be made impossible, but some forms of griefing obviously should be fixed by them. It was retarded how you used to be able to break statues with animals, and the animals breaking stuff now is dumb too, you don't even leave scents past trespass doing it so it even breaks the ability of the player to "punish" the griefer

ps so much politics

Yeah, fixing this is also definitely important.

It's silly if anyone thinks that just because they can raze the base anyhow, that this bug should exist- if that's the point then just remove scents and SHP loss for vandalism entirely, while also removing stat requirements.

You don't actually believe that, do you?

Maybe im dreaming but i remember this stuff being mentioned before.
Also, i reported a pretty serious and lethal "exploit" 2 weeks ago and it hasnt been fixed yet because no one used it yet. Id make a video of killing coles but im afraid of the gods becauise jorb told me not to do it. And i didnt even get a cape. FeelsBadMan.

To a certain point, yeah

Personally I think that some things shouldn't be in the game to begin with though
Animal bashing is just too easy and it can be done without any black skills at all, so I don't see that as being a fair thing for the playerbase to have to fight back against
If a player wanted revenge for their base being leveled by a horse they likely wouldn't even be able to track the person down unless they had to palibash in to begin with

I feel that the 'mmersions that we will lose by removing animal bashing is worth it when you consider the alternative, which is animal raiding
And yes, though it may be hilarious, it's not a good thing to leave in the game as it is for obvious reasons :ugeek:

Things like this raise all sorts of questions. At what point does an exploit become "bad" enough that you should be scared of the gods? If you use a known exploit on palisade newbs is that fine? If you have reported it to the devs and they haven't fixed it even given good time can you use it? If you use it on someone who claims

does that make it ok due to karmic justice?

I would argue that its never fine to use it, really, but the "rules" are pretty unclear.

Prettysure the line is drawn at walljumping, DDOS and account hacking
At least that's what I've seen since 2011

Oh the animal bash thing I'm in support of removing

It makes no sense and only serves as a method of abuse

@Jorb and Loftar. Since nearly everyone thinks that crimes should be penalized in a harsher fashion. How about something like this.
Walking on a claim, -1 SHP.
Checking cupboards and REAL criminal type shit not just walking onto a claim while foraging, -5 SHP. Increases inability to teleport by 1 minute if applicable.
Aggro, -5 SHP, Increases inability to teleport by 10 minutes per stack, and force login by 20 minutes per stack.
Theft, -5 HHP, Increases inability to teleport by 5 minutes per stack, and force login by 20 minutes per stack.
Vandal, -10 HHP, Increases inability to teleport by 10 minutes per stack, and force login by 30 minutes per stack.
Battery, -20 HHP, Increases inability to teleport by 20 minutes per stack, and force login by 1 hour per stack.
Murder, -40 HHP, Increases inability to teleport by 1 hour per stack, and force login by 1 day per stack.

Each type of HHP damage being a special injury, with the more severe crimes like murder taking longer to heal.
There could also be something associated with murder for example. An injury called "Sleepless Nights." Where you can't sprint, you can only run or slower due to lack of sleep from nightmares from murdering people.

Battery does not apply when some one aggro's you first right? Self defense. On that same note, I think murder should be the same way, because very often people in game don't take a fucking hint. You KO them and if it was an even fight or they think. "Oh, if I had done things differently, I would have won." And they take another swing at you... Why keep having to defend yourself? Especially if they just run home, heal, and come back later for more.

Also with JC's stating something along the lines of. "If I didn't grief this guys entire base, and turn the whole thing into a parking lot while laughing in my video like the sociopath I am, Jorbtar wouldn't do anything." Untrue. You could have made a video of animals bashing an abandoned hermitage, just bash a few things, and then say. "Now, imagine this was a larger, active base." You were just being a rude dickwad like usual. There is no excuse for your shitty behavior, and you should be ashamed of your actions.

No excuse is needed, and I'm not ashamed
I enjoyed myself :)

But that doesn't mean that it's not a fucked up mechanic that needs to be changed
