We have gotten some good fights, but for the most part people just tend to shit their pants and die
Idk if it's better or worse that they die to characters with no stats lol

That is because they are not fighting against you, they are fighting against panic and fear and losing. That is what generally kills people rather than the physical enemy. If they cannot conquer the mental enemy, then they are just as good as dead in combat. Some of your faction members should know something about that before.
