What is it? Concisely, it is a double level marketplace, where anyone could: build their barter stands; trade needed commodities for development; attend various events, or spend good time and money at the local Inn of Brodgar.

Barter stand building regulations: a player or a village could obtain up to 3 trading slots. Each slot is 5 to 5 tiles big, which represents the size of a starting personal claim. Each slot can accommodate from 4 to 8 barter stands + the owner has to build his/her personal claim in order to interact with the barter stands.

There are 40 free barter stands at the moment.

Regulations:
1. Each trader has to build a minimum of 4 barter stands. Failing to meet this requirement within 1 week of claiming a slot will result in revoking the claim and assigning the slot for another trader. Therefore, make sure you have all the materials and time prior requesting a slot/building personal claim. :)
2. All hearthfires has to be stored in the underground storage plots. Any unauthorised hearthfire built on the above ground level will be destroyed.

Note:
Atm. you can assign to buy only the ingredient items, involved into crafting (ex. glue, leather, metal and etc.). The end products and sub. tokens cannot be assigned as a buying item atm. (but you could sell them). Please, also note that your character has to discover the items you would like to assign as a payment for your trading goods.

Storage: In the underground level, protected by a brickwall, you will be allocated a brickwalled plot where you could build a storage house and 5 to 5 personal claim (enough to cover the entrance to the storage building). The plot sizes vary from 10x8 to 14x10, depends on the building type (tower, mansion, stonestead). For the safety reasons, the plot doors will be kept open and traders will not have the keys. The protection of the personal goods will be provided via the visitor buff: a character who passed the doors will not be able to use criminal acts at all, until it will leave the claimed area.
The additional storage space might be used for additional barter stands.

Security:
both market levels are protected by the village claim and brick walls. Once a character enters the market zone, it will have the “guest” buff. Consequently, the person will not be able to use the criminal acts (trespassing, attack, steal, vanadlize and etc.). Some market zones will have trespassing (minehole entrances) and theft (central square) permissions, so the traders could exchange goods directly in safety, without barter stand as a media.

Animal protection:
horses and some other animals still might be used for griefing and bugabusing. Therefore, each of 4 entrances to the market have runestones installed, so that animals could not pass through. The spacing between the stones is enough to get through a character. However, you have to centralize your character in order to enter inside.

When could I come? Ideally, the market will be open 24/7. People should be able to enter through the always open gates at any time. However, it is not recommended to visit the place with maincharacters, since an opent trading center will attract attentions of raiders.

We would like to suggest the following scheme for trading:
1. Create a new character and spawn in the starting zone. Afterwards, reach the trading center and place your hearthfire near the trading center/or storage area/or special allocated plot.
2. Create another alt, but travel to your village and place your hearthfire there as well.
3. Once you would need to transport goods to the trading center, you should use the trading-center character to walk to your base, grab the items and port back to the market. You might consider having another alt to guard the hearthfire of the courier.
4. If you will need to transport traded goods back to your village, use the alt inside of your base to travel to the trade center and collect the cargo.

Unfortunately, this is the only method for the safe trade atm.


Terms of use:


1. You might be given up to 3 barter stand slots. We retain the right to decide how many slots your village will be given.

2. Any village or faction can ask for a basrter stand slot, regardless of our political relationship. However, in case of breaking the rules, the privelige to have a barter stand slot will be taken away, the barter stands destroyed, claims will be revoked, the storage and slots will be given to another village.

3. If your village will be noted in: attacking traders; sieging; attempts to harm/danage the trading center property (barter stands, decorations, pavement, crossroads); spreading false information without any proof (lies about the traders and trading operations);
then we might declare an “embargo”. You will not be able to own any slots, storage spaces, the property you had inside of the trading center will be shared between other barter stand owners (our oragnisation does not participate the auction).

4. The storage facilities might be used as a temporary refugee camp. However, any attempts to use the place as a hearthvault for a character committed criminals acts will be prosecuted: we will give the access to the storage space to the people, who will provide legit evidence and scents.

5. If your barters will remain empty for more than 3 weeks, you will receive a warning and will be given a week to remove your goods from the storage or refill the barter stands. Otherwise, we will have to free the slot for other players, who will be actively trading.



We are planning to launch:

Inn of Brodgar
You will be able to visit the inn, where various concerts and events would be hold. We will also host a casino session once or twice a week for those, who would like some easy coins. We will be happy to receive any help or pay for decorations/decorator service, furniture and etc.

About the project:

The design was 3D modelled in Rhino5
More than 20 000 bricks were produced for the construction
23 000+ stones were used for pavement and construction
More than 300 wroguht iron and 125 bars of steel were used
More than 70 characters died from starvation
15 people directly participated the construction

I've "contributed" to this project and traded with LadyGoo before.

Edit: meant to say that as word of assurance, all my interactions with LadyGoo so far have been positive.

I just wish there was some special way to teleport into places like these or near them so I dont have to run 5-8 hours back and forth.
Im quite sure this trade hub will suffer same thing as others

I got a look at it during Jordan's stream the other day, it looks very nice and I really like your underground design as well. The banners are a nice touch. Well done! :D

that argument only applies if run by those who dont destroy others projects. would be even shittier only aggressive groups could set up a market, but cest la vie.
