Bee hive offering free waxes?

Postby rockoops » Mon Jan 11, 2016 10:12 am

I'm not really sure this is bug or because of tree.
I put my bee hive which was not contain any waxes, but some days later I right clicked empty bee hive and found it producing wax even crops were not in the range.
only growing object in the range was a single pine tree. are bee hives affect trees growing speed?

I think crops only speed up wax production
It takes 14 irl days for a beehive to produce wax when there are no crops in radius range
(not sure no killerino pls x))

i remember someone else was posting about bees collecting honey and wax from fruit trees a while ago. as for pine tree, european? bees do gather propolis from pine sap or buds or whatever, so id say its quite possible that loftar included pine trees when coding rather than a bug.

jorb/loftar posted sometime that this is intended and they do indeed slowly gather honey and wax even if no crops avaible near them.

That's true, in december i had my last exams so i didnt played and I even didnt harvested crops, but beehives were producing wax.
Some sayd one monthe after release that beehives were producing honey inside houses, and jorb sayd that was intended. So maybe wax production is it 2.

They have some amount of passive production. Not a bug.
