Not that I know off. It has been like this from the moment I noted it. (although I generally don't zoom in/out that much in the cellar)

In that case I suspect it might be graphic card/(OpenGL support) related.
Hm, I can switch between two graphic card to see if it happens with both or just one. (will do that a bit later today)

I experience this bug also.

Turns out I get it with both graphic cards.

First one is:
Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller

With the second one I'm not sure. Linux Mint default system-info is giving a ambiguous graphic card string. (Card came with the refurbished computer)
"Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Oland [Radeon HD 8570 / R7 240/340 / Radeon 520 OEM] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])"
Its overall very close in specs to the Intel one. (Intel is definitely smoother, ... although color wise kinda blend.)

So overall ... that's probably not that helpful.

This one is with Default client. Which has a slightly different behavior when Shift-previewing the destination.

Switched to GTX750TI-PH-2GD5 (Asus)
- No behavioral change (Xserver-xorg-... Driver).

... Aha.

- Not reproducible anymore when "Render Shadows" option is enabled.
(other cards took too big of a performing dip on that. Ergo: was disabled from the start. (bummer. dip still too big (outdoors) with GTX750 to keep it enabled ))
