My guess, is that I must've placed it directly in the middle of those two palisade tiles so it isn't detecting them properly? Anyone know what might be the problemo before I resort to other measures?

While I'm sure it's possible for a custom client to cause this issue, I think it would have to actually be intentional (or a big blunder in changing the code).
It's placed wrong. The inside supports point the direction the ball needs to face.
