129-130% openings on 3 different colors, isn't it only meant to be 100%?

They can get over 100% on most animals I've fought, especially the little rats and things. I don't know if intended.

Whoot? It's possible to fight rats instead of picking them up? Do they drop combat moves?

You can "fight" them instead of catching them, which is just aggroing them and attacking them. They don't fight back or use restorations, and they don't drop combat moves.

They do not give LP. The only thing it's useful for is killing hedgehogs, so you take no damage.

Such an obvious thing and yet I don't even think of it... Figured they ran and made it a bigger pain in the ass than it was worth. I know rabbits used to take more than a hit or two.

Are you saying they do not run if engaged in combat? That's the reason I just pick them up instead of fighting them. I'd love to hear it if my assumption that they run away is wrong.

In the case of rabbits and squirrels, they don't hurt you when you pick them up. Why bother hitting them? All the critters run, though. I was just saying I used to punch at rabbits for lulz and chasing them to punch them again was just annoying, not really a worthy catching technique, unless you got a one-hit kill. In that case, no difference in just catching and killing vs punching to death (unless bags are pretty full, when you only have to have 2 slots free instead of 4).
