I just posted the same in the updates thread before I found this one. That makes at least four of us in this same scenario. Adding mulch every two days won't be sustainable until summer arrives. Hoping for a fix in the next few days before the snow starts falling.

I do also have some older mound beds on forest and grass terrain, which where refueled in early autumn.
These are still acting normal. ... Probably as they where created before Jorb messed around with the mound bed codes. (still kinda odd though)

That's it! Mine are all on paved tiles - because when I would add too much soil on beds not on paved tiles it would add to the height of the underlying terrain, on terrain that "wasn't flat enough" to rebuild the mound bed on. I'm hoping this can be patched, but if not then I need to rework my mound beds pdq.

Crap ...

A 24 hours ago refilled mound bed look 11 mulch. Which makes no sense as it suggests it would only last one real day.
But after I initially refilled that bed the first time ... it also accepted some more mulch after is became seemingly active again. But I did not check how much.
So I refilled an other stale bed. It took 12 mulch to show as semi-active again ... and than it took an other 12 before it stopped taking more mulch.

... what kind of crappy mound bad patch is this.

As dev's are obviously MIA again.

To keep your mound beds active during winter. Check every 2 real days if they accept mulch. If yes, fully refill the bed (it might accept more then 12 mulch. Assuming this extends there duration a bit more - unverified).
(Careful with mound beds on soft grounds, if you don't want to accidentally raise the land below it. Putting a woodchip tile at there center helps preventing this.)

Mine are all on pavement. About 2/3 showed as dead this evening, after being refreshed 2 days ago. _All_ accepted mulch today. Most consumed at least a dozen mulch; I think one consumed 20.

My 5 junk compost bins won't be able to keep up at this rate of mulch consumption, and with chunks of my fields already withered - and presumably withering daily - I'm going to be short of things to put in the compost bins. (Feeding the livestock comes first.)

It's possible that I'll be testing the change that made unfed animals sleep rather than taking damage. I hope it's still working.

I'm probably most pissed off though that my growing trees are transitioning to winter mode because of this feature.

Whatever Jorbtar did to "fix" an issue - please unfix it. My newly build mound beds are now unactive and my crop is freezing.

Not happy:(
