Something seems wrong anyways.

we used q 15 for boards and straw and thatch for the coop and 40/20/13 water and 17/37/23 food and chickens are decreasing seemingly after each egg lay.

The real issue is that the babies once hatched drop quality as well unsure if this is intended would like confirmation or potential issue from Jorb

How Legacy worked was that the only time a chicken would lose its quality was during the chick stage if it ate lower ql food. However the issue now is even if it eats higher ql food it seems to drop.

This has to be a bug.

I have taken a note of it as such.

Chicken Q

Postby hazzor » Sat Sep 19, 2015 9:15 am

My chickens just seem to drop by 2-3q every night, the food in there is avg q15 or better, and the water is very nice, is this just how chickens work now? they slowly lose Q for no reason at all?

Edit: It's a bug, thread here viewtopic.php?f=47&t=42798

is your food Q10+/Q10+/Q10+ ?
Because your chicken quality will not increase with quality everytime they eat food ... and only decrease if there is any food thats below Q10 in any quality category.
if you use Q30/5/5 food ...sure your overall quality food is q10+ but your chicken will still go down to Q10/5/5 after some feeding cycles. Same counts for water I think.

If you did use Q10+/Q10+/Q10+ and it still happens I have no clue why. (Unless someone in your village fed the chickens with trash you didnt know about :D which happened in my settlement )

no, the food they have should be all at least 10/10/10, I try to give them higher, and like I said it's the same with the water.

They're going from 10/10/10 to 7/7/7 to 5/5/5 quite uniformly, occasionally one of them will go 7/7/6 or something like that but they always average 10 down to 7 then down to 5, I've just been putting new q10 ones in and collecting the decent eggs before their quality plummets.

I mean the chicken will drop quality, not on a generation by generation basis.

Well, are your coop materials q10+? It's unlikely but maybe bad hay upsets your chickens?

I THINK everything in there is at least 10, certainly nothing that'd cause the massive drops I get

This belongs in bugs. Adult chickens should not drop in quality.
