They will eat berries. Until the issue gets solved you can harvest berries to stuff in the trough.

I think I heard feeding an animal sub Q fodder permanently decreases their quality.

Well the stuff i harvest is better than most berries. You can also feed them meat. But if they keep eating 160 units of food in 2 hours i need to forage 80 berries per hour until this gets fixed just to keep my animals from starving. Sounds like a lot of trouble.

i'm not sure why you think tamed animals are eating so much food ,i can say about chickens ,but not about tamed animals.

i just feeding trough and chicken coop with boiled mussels...haha

Pregnant animals eat 10x more than non-pregnant ones. Maybe your animals aren't pregnant yet and you don't see the difference

i have small lambs ,and pregnant animals too:)but really do not see any differences

we are noticing that they eat a lot more than in legacy too. hopefully this is fixed before they starve

Looks like a bug. We have changed some time constants, so it may be that the old values have been ported without considering that. Will consider.
