All this is pointless if it turns out to be OBS. Is your CPU maxed when you use OBS? Do you record to your system drive?

I cant even get OBS to record the amber client on my system at all so Im glad you got that to work.

You can also try and raise its priority. In windows task manager right click the javaw.exe process on the process tab, it should be taking about 500 to 1gig of ram and put its priority to a higher setting. I dont see this as having an effect but its worth a try. This may effect OBS too.

Haven client alone and not minimized is using 50-60% CPU

With OBS grabbing record buffer it peaks at like 92% :s

Sitting idle with nothing open I use about 5-8% CPU

OBS is in 720p and is optimized for that
All other games I've streamed I've had no real noticeable performance issues

Also, you need to use window capture and disable aero if you're running windows 7 and want to capture haven

did you try to play without your bots-scripts client ?

like, test it on default client, or other public clients with no crops and other things....

I use Amber client which is actually better on fps because you can disable flavor objects and turn on simple crops

I'm not sure what to do about that, as far as I know the servers haven't moved since old haven so did I actually play with nearly 300 ping since 2011?
Battleping or something like that might help? But programs like that require you to path to the .exe of the game usually which I'm not sure how to do with haven which is a .jar

280ms isnt that bad for a game like this, its just under a 3rd of a second delay.

Are you connecting with a wireless connection? Is there anyone else on your network that might saturate it causing you lag?

IS the lag all the time or only during low FPS? Do the low FPS and lag always occur at the same time?

I'm on a wired connection and yes, another laptop is usually running but they're not doing anything that would take a lot from on my end

When I lag I also have low fps

It is guarenteed lags the second I turn on OBS replay buffer, but even without that I get lags in areas with a lot of bullshit on screen

Battleping or any kind of VPN might be able to help, but you can't know until you try. It might even be worse with it. It all depends on how the routing goes with your current line and how it goes through the VPN. Also jesus christ don't game on wireless. That's like heresy.

I've gotten 5ms pings to local servers with a weaker wireless router than I'm using now. Sverige is a lot further.

Ah right missed that, sorry. WTFast has a free option. Mind you that payable VPNs are usually better
