I like the oxford comma. I also want to stress that I consider that type of hyphenation in a class of elegance quite distinct from normal hoi polloi contractions.

I could go into a completely off-topic rant about modern English and the fucktard professors and graduate students that want to promote this way or that way, but I think I'll shut up before I open that can of worms (and I've already said too much). And don't get me wrong, it wouldn't be so far off topic as it is about using hyphenation to designate the fracturing of a compound word, but do we really want to delve down that rabbit hole in the Bugs forum?
