1000 seeds of barley (1 bucket), produce 100kg of flour (not 1 bucket).

Option 1. Make 1000 seeds of barley (1 bucket), produce 10kg of flour (bucket).

Option 2. Make 1000 seeds of barley (1 bucket), produce 100kg of flour and have 1 bucket hold 100kg of flour.

option 3. Make 1000 seeds of barley (1 bucket), produce 10kg of flour (1 bucket). Then reduce the amount of flour required by recipes by 10x.

option 4. Barley plants produce 10x the amount of seeds, a bucket holds 1000 seeds still, but produces 10kg of flour, requiring you to grind 10x as much.

You can just say it should be 1:1 without defining how that ratio should be implemented?

that would nerf it past where they brought it up from because people were complaining about having to maintain too many crops, this is really stupid and no one was ever thinking it.
Ethan wrote:option 3. Make 1000 seeds of barley (1 bucket), produce 10kg of flour (1 bucket). Then reduce the amount of flour required by recipes by 10x.

what? why on earth would anyone suggest that? that is a horrendous idea. rework the entire baked goods section to reduce the amount of flour and keep the labor cost exactly the same? that would be one update cycle worth of work for them bare minimum for practically no effect on us, and make a lot of recipes require another exponent, giving us those ugly over 3 digit numbers loftar hates.

I just.... how did you even get from flour should take up the same if not less space then the seeds it is ground from as it is more dense to this one plant should give infinitely more seeds than any other crop? that would break so many things.

this is the only one with any sense. I think everyone thought they didn't need to define it, as the only other "options" you could come up with are just absurd.

the point here is, despite 50 pounds of feathers being much larger than 70 pounds of iron, the iron is heavier because the substance is denser. In this case, flour is denser than seeds. in order to grind 100 kg of flour from a single bucket of seeds, those seeds must already weigh 100 kg... does that make it make sense?

That was my first thought, however it was questioned by MagicManICT, so maybe everyone isn't on the same page?

I'm all for making buckets hold more flour, but you can't use physics as the reasoning. For 100kgs to fit within 10L (the buckets volume) it would need to be more dense than steel...

I've complained every time i make flour since the update that buffed the amount of flour you get. I don't understand why it wasn't just made so that pies and stuff just used less flour to make things easier >.>

Physics also says no to hearth stones, teleports, charters etc. Can you just play the game? If you want some real world just press "X" and go outside.

Tried once.
Didn't like graphics.
Also every fun thing is behind paywall.

Yeah, and too hard to move, too. Weather sucks, neighbors suck, boss won't promote me from metal smith to something better....

(it was saying that or something flippant about being in Finland :P )

Sorry, but that's all I read there... this is a video game, man. Use a little bit of reality to establish a basis, but make your suggestions sensible and reasonable for the players. If you want a simulator, there are plenty of games out there that are just that.

Though I will say going from your line of thinking, one tile's worth of seeds should have a much larger volume (and thus weight) than is currently in game. One could certainly do the math on it and come up with a reasonable number, but we (this community) had this discussion already in the last six months. See paragraph prior.
