Because raw beef is edible?

I mean it has no applications in game environment. Roleplaying is good, but lot of pieces of game mechanics do not have straight connection to the real life for the sake of playability. You could make make raw mussels edible with/without vinegar, or raw eggs for example. Also sausages are never made of pure raw meat, it would be dangerous to eat. Raw meat is fine for the humans heals itself, but there are so many parasites live in the meat, especially in the meat of wild animals.

But I think it is possible to eat raw egg in the real live. Why it is not in game? Why arbitrary addition of raw beef eatings?

I think there is definite some thing you two will add to game that serve valid game purpose, you do not think this? Maybe if looking at game from certain angle, you will classing anything as arbitrary but I think maybe this angle is not useful for looking as it does this one.
