Eldeberries do not count as "Any Berry"

I've rereaded it again, it states that you can eat IRL version, not in-game version. And cooking berries and nuts in-game requires edible objects. It sounds more like "make some of unedible edible.

The subsequent posts discuss edibility after someone says it isn't a bug because they aren't edible. I then say I am unsure if that's an intended function because Rowan berries are edible, IE why I posted the bug report. Read the OP for fucks sake man, it's the first sentence.

I tried to make a fishwrap using the new berries and it seems they don't count as berries for the recipe.

You're dense. I assumed that after having referenced that discussion you'd figure that at least one of the "edibles" I was referring to was in real life, I'll go back and amend my previous post. It wasn't just about Rowan berries. It was about all of the new berries in the game. Read. The. Op. Please. I don't now if you're being pedantic or what. But ultimately my point is you should follow the bug report guidelines because has you searched "new berries don't count as berries" the thread I linked would have been your first result with an identical gripe, until you made this one.

There is also trait between edible berries and inedible ones. Edible images contain bigger berries than inedible ones(Which does not always apply but it is common).

I genuinely don't know what I'm not getting across. In that exact thread I had said I was unsure whether or not this was an intended game mechanic, that Rowan Berries were inedible (Using the wiki three days after the new world has started is going to lead to a lot of personal grief, nearly half of it is out of date now). Again. The thread wasn't about Rowan Berries in particular. The thread name is literally "New Berries Don't Count as Berries". I'll just quote this and bold it again for emphasis and hope you can understand that we had the exact same dilemma. With the point being please search for similar bugs before you post, the other thread was less than a day old.

WHEW LAD.

Having previously never been in charge of a character with exploration/survival/ect. my experience with inedibles is limited to the whole one time in I needed to pick them up for a new character for the entirety of the previous world, so I'd referenced a villagemate for that thread. Deferring to him was obviously a mistake as far as using the word "new" is concerned. Which only compounded by the fact Rowan Berries should be edible. Which is why I thought these were similar complaints when in actuality I apparently just had just been using information from misinformed priors. Disaster.

Really the point of the other thread is the ambiguity between a class of items being called "Berries" that doesn't include all items with the word "berry" in their name, as mentioned in my last post, I'll go fix the title (Or just have it moved to C&I). Having more clear in game item class descriptions would have avoided this debacle.


Elderberries should count as "Any Berry" fix this please Lorftor.

Feature Requests are not a Bug. Put it where it belongs. It doesn't matter what it does in real life if it wasn't designed to be that way in a game. Holly berries are highly toxic, but we can't make poisons out of them. Stop trying to be an ass about this stuff and keep threads on topic.

+1 to complaint about elderberries - which have a faint taste and make good jam - not being able to be used as fruit.
