Animal Taming

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time...

It seems to work fine when I am not trying to hide from 1:1 melee with a horse (no single failure till now). And as I was a bit overambitious with amount of animals I brought in (AKA I can spare HP on horse fight and mouflons aren't a problem at all but have extra aurochs which I can't deal with in parallel with the horse) I've tried to experiment what happens if I cheese it a bit. Tried to fence myself in a circle of stones (so animal has all the rest of our 99x99 claim to run around) but they die without giving up the fight. They have where to run, so it seems now the factor is - they don't go piece mode if they can't reach you.
Too old to rock-n-roll, too young to die.

I'll give it a shot, I guess, but it's a shame I can't use a fenced area.

Yes so far 100% success with maybe 7 times I have had a taming fight. On top of having them out of fences I have a palisade gate open.

Just had the same problem.

Hitched a cow yesterday morning, found it battle ready just now. Pulled it out of our plot to a river, peaced it, shot it with one arrow for 150 damage, then punched it... until it died.

What did I do wrong? It worked like this in W9.

Second attempt was made yesterday without the bow, only punches, worked and raised the tame counter to 35.

Today, exact same procedure, same location, only punches, cow fights until death.

Please look into this again or give some more info on how exactly these errors mights occur. I'm at a loss here. :(

You can't win if you use a bow, I believe.
